Set in early 17th-century Vienna during a time of abuse of power, Measure for Measure follows victims who, nearly half a century later, decide to report the injustice. Characters with smaller roles are given the chance to testify about their own and others’ hardships. The production examines questions of morality and ethics: whose shoulders bear moral principles? Who is virtuous, who is corrupt? Who will be punished, and who will go unscathed?
